The money raised on Saturday November 16th will fund educational visits to London for Ukrainian doctors specializing in Organ Transplantation, Anaesthesia, Pain Medicine or Intensive Care.

As you probably know, previous Fellows, two Ukrainian doctors specializing in pain came over here to spend two weeks in the UK observing the management of acute pain. On their return these doctors set up the first acute pain service in Ukraine at the National Cancer Institute in Kiev. Not only does this service continue to flourish but the doctors we trained have in turn trained other doctors in this specialty, resulting in several other Ukrainian hospitals setting up acute pain services. In the past it was sponsored by SPIN (Specialists in Pain International Network, http://www.painspecialists.org.uk/), with the support from UMAUK.

Your 45 pounds ticket includes plenty of drinks and food, a “TTO” bag containing small presents and a raffle ticket.
