Being humble and submissive, yet hard-working and diligent is an established historic stereotype of Ukrainian females. Whilst in Ukraine this perception has been slowly changing, Ukrainian girls and women, who live and work overseas, are still widely associated with good looks and good cooking and housekeeping ability rather than with business acumen and professional success. This makes it rather difficult to succeed in the male dominated places, such as the City of London.
We are delighted to invite you to a talk by Irina Tymczyszyn, the first Ukrainian female who was elected to partnership at a global US Law firm in the City of London. Ms. Tymczyszyn will be talking about her journey to the success in the City, myths and truths about women with an ambition to make it to the top, and qualities required to withstand that journey.
Thursday, November 14, 2013, 7.00PM, at the Ukrainian Institute in London
The talk will be held in Ukrainian.
