Fantasy Farm was opened in 1963 by Edgar Streifthau who had previously owned the LeSourdsville Lake (later Americana) amusement park next door. He was forced to sell that business after his partner passed away but on the 20 acres of adjacent land he owned, he created a park geared towards younger children.
